YardLynk is an exciting new B2B marketplace for construction equipment hire. We’re building disruptive technology to solve the complex problems and deep inefficiencies in the trade, provide building contractors, tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts with a better way to find, hire and manage equipment for their projects.

We have a tremendous opportunity ahead of us, and our goal is to become the market leader in equipment hire on a national (and global) scale. We’re looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to help us get there!

The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for understanding customer needs, helping to develop and refine our sales strategy, and focusing on outbound sales to customers across the construction and facilities management industry. You’ll also manage inbound leads by responding to customers accessing our website. Great communication skills, an enthusiastic attitude and self-motivation are key attributes that you’ll bring to this role, as you’ll be speaking to prospects and developing customers on a daily basis.

Reporting to the Founder, you’ll help to build our sales pipeline from the ground up, and have key input in setting objectives and milestones for the Company.

As a startup, this role requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable with multi-tasking and taking on new challenges, lending a hand wherever the business requires. You’ll be working closely with the Founder, and there’ll be plenty of exciting opportunities to grow with the business.

Ideally, you will have:

- Proven experience of developing a sales strategy, building a sales pipeline and managing customer relationships. Experience in B2B sales to tradespeople / SMEs in the construction industry would be a big plus, but not a prerequisite

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to think outside of the box, try new things and learn quickly

- Entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to grow and exceed targets

- Strategic, resourceful and detail oriented

- Ability to think on your feet, and comfortable working with ambiguity and in a fast paced startup environment

- At least 3 years prior experience working in Sales and Business Development

- Work experience in a startup, or other entrepreneurial experience would be a plus
