Job Brief
We’re looking for a Legal Officer who can oversee legal activities for charities and communities.

This will involve providing legal services, as well as advice and guidance, to charities and communities that are working to change the world.

Overseeing applications to register organisations as CIOs, CICs, CLGs, etc.
Outlining the legal issues concerning charitable organisations
Overseeing the creation of the legal documentation and arrangements where necessary
Advising and explaining legal matters
Researching and summarising legal information
Preparing legal documents
Writing to clients

Academic background in law is necessary
Experience practising in law is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Administrative and IT skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Research skills
An organised approach
The ability to work under pressure

Time commitment
The time commitment can be as little as 4 hours per week, depending on your availability.

The role will be performed remotely, so applications are welcomed from across the world.

As the role is as a volunteer, it is unpaid, but it offers a great opportunity to gain experience, while helping to change the world!
