Interns/volunteers Wanted for African Media Company

at Kugali in London

Kugali is a company that showcases the best African stories by Africans. These are stories that respect the history of Africa, embrace the present and imagine a future. With one of the largest collections of African cartoons anywhere, we decided to start Kugali magazine. A serialised African comic anthology.

We're looking for an intern to work with us on a part-time basis and assist us with our upcoming crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. This role is ideal for anyone interested in crowdfunding and a first-hand opportunity to work on a crowdfunding project. We also operate from within City Launch Lab, one of the leading startup incubators in London so you'll have an opportunity to learn about a whole variety of startups and the inner workings of an incubator.

Your role will be divided between marketing and research as well as a few additional ad hoc tasks. An ideal candidate should have an interest in media, particularly visual art and storytelling narratives. We're happy to cover expenses (travel, food etc) and any costs you may incur while working on the job. There may also be an opportunity to work with Kugali on a full-time basis if the project is successful. Let us know whether you're interested in supporting the project on a full time or part-time basis.
