minicabit is the UK’s largest cab comparison website and powers the cab booking platform for the top travel brands such as Heathrow Airport, Expedia, Ascot and Visit Britain amongst many others. To support our fast-paced growth in the rapidly transforming ‘Mobility as a Service’ space, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager to drive the implementation of our product roadmap. The role is based at our office at WeWork’s Aldwych base in central London.

Key Responsibilities :

*Lead our product development across web, app and API, assisting/managing external contractor developers, QA and DevOps teams

*Manage the scope and allocation of work to developers and Quality Assurance team, release schedule and deployments according to AGILE methodologies, running daily standups with stakeholders

*Working with Project Management on development sprints across web/mobile web/app/API, on time and within budget

*Specify technical tickets relating to new features with our Marketing, Design, Operations and Commercial teams, as part of a long term roadmap, balancing commercial and UI/UX logic and using data such as conversion to substantiate the need and priority for such features

*Ensure clear and succinct intra-team communication on projects/releases

*Monitoring the health of various platforms using certain KPIs and Google Analytics

*Work with the management team to triage technical/schedule issues

*Occasionally liaise with tech counterparts of Partners

*Identify and leverage 3rd party tools that improve our efficiency, for instance, automation of operational tasks

*Be ahead of the curve in terms of industry trends and technical releases

Your Experience :


*Min. 3-5 years managing multiplatform development of a UK consumer e-commerce platform (based on node.js as well as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) across web, responsive web, Android and iOS

*Working with and creating APIs

*Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL

*Using Git/Jira/code repositories as well as development/staging/live environments

*Knowledge of SQL queries

*Knowledge of Google Maps API, Atlassian JIRA, e-commerce payment systems

*Understanding of a CMS to drive SEO a plus

*Systems administration experience and infrastructure knowledge valued


*Degree-level graduate, ideally in Computer Science or a related area, and who is fluent in spoken and written English, with confident phone manner

*Highly enthusiastic with ability to prioritise, multi-task and work autonomously

*Familiarity with Excel/Word/Powerpoint
