At Salience, we understand the importance of good design, and use it to enhance customer experiences. We work with a wide range of high-growth businesses in a variety of sectors to improve their customer-facing collateral across the entirety of the customer lifecycle. We’re looking for a designer who is digitally savvy and who can work across digital mediums, including branding, email, websites, landing pages, paid social and content.


THE ROLE


This role is suited for a designer who works proactively and autonomously, and will deliver outstanding results to meet client objectives. You’ll work to a brief agreed with the client, or account manager and will develop creative ideas which you will them implement in collaboration with our wider team.


The work demands creative flair, the ability to bring complex narrative concepts and information to life visually in a simple way, up-to-date knowledge of industry tools and trends, and a professional approach to time, budgets and deadlines.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


You’ll need to manage more than one design brief and client at a time. Typical activities include:


Working with a range of tools and software packages including Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Cloud and email builders BeePro and Litmus


Web and landing page design


Responsive email design


Design development and branding, including creation of brand boards and style guides


Layout design for online content downloads using InDesign


Creation of effective ad units across Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and more


Estimating the time required to complete the work and proactively managing deadlines


Present finalised ideas and creative concepts to clients


ABOUT YOU


3+ years agency experience required


An awareness of development techniques (e.g. jQuery, HTML5, CSS etc) and responsive design


Some UX & UI experience


Have an understanding of CRO best practice


Are able to easily understand a brief and take initiative to ask questions when needed


Have great digital design skills and a thousand unique styles and ideas tucked away


Have a strong understanding of design trends and how to harness them


Have good communication skills


Are able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table


Are self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines


Extremely organised and process driven in your work


Meticulous attention to detail


Growth mindset: self-motivated and proactive, with a desire to learn new skills


Experience presenting creative work to clients


BONUS POINTS


HTML and CSS knowledge


Experience with video editing and animation


Knowledge of digital growth marketing principles


Experience within an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment
