Summary

Checkout.com is actively looking for a talented Senior Merchant Onboarding Specialist to join the growing team in London and bolster our portfolio growth. As Senior Merchant Onboarding Specialist you will assessing merchants’ applications, measuring the degrees of risk associated to their onboarding and analysing their compliance to Checkout.com’s rules and regulations. You will take the ownership of continuous support to existing merchants with regards to compliance, underwriting and any other onboarding queries.

This role offers a unique exposure to our core business areas collaborating closely with both key internal players (Business Development, Sales, Legal teams and Top Management) and interface with our merchants and partners.

The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

In this role, you will:

Resolve existing merchants onboarding queeries on a day to day basis
Ensure that existing merchants are compliant with regards to all business rules and regulations
Pre-screen merchant websites to verify that they are genuine and compliant
Review application packages and ensure that they contain all relevant documents
Analyze merchants’ processing statements, company financials business plans
Interview merchants’ key stakeholders when required to collect information
Communicate with acquiring banks, send completed bank application packages and follow up for merchant account to be released
Devise and develop custom risk settings for new approved merchants
Maintain positive relationship and open communication with all company departments and partners in the sales workflow process
Mentor junior team members
About you

Good analytical skills - ability to analyse complex data
Readiness to work with busy schedules and tight deadlines
Tech-Savvy with a passion for technology
Ability to approach problems in a quantitative and qualitative manner
Fluent in English
Degree educated or equivalent
Understanding of AML, Due Diligence and Risk Management is a plus
4+ years’ Merchant Onboarding, Compliance or Risk Management experience in the e-commerce / card industry would be an advantage
