Hi, if you’re reading this you should probably first know who’s writing it. I’m the CEO and co-founder of SILKE London (www.silkelondon.com). We’re a fresh new fashion forward hair care company, looking to change the game with innovative products that do some pretty incredible things to your locks.

This job is an all rounder.


We need someone with a love for being creative and business savvy. Someone who wants to get their hands dirty and do the work that needs to be done to drive results.


I will list below the tasks you may be performing and have involvement in by type, for a feel of the day-to-day, but the list is not exhaustive. Any day can be different.


I will also list the skills of an ideal candidate, but if this role description above sounds like you and you don’t have a particular technical skill (denoted by an asterisks in the list below), then still apply but please let us know your comfort level with each technical skill.


People with ambition and drive can teach themselves how to use excel. But ambition and drive themselves can’t be taught.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales – Global retailer negotiations – Identifying new retailers – Co-ordinating shipments
Business Planning & Strategy – Plan future product launches – Expansion plans
Marketing & Social Media – Social media & marketing planning, curation & execution – Social media original content creation; execution
Customer Sales & Service


An Ideal Candidates Skills & Experience: – Highly organised – Excellent attention to detail – Perfect written English – Keen interest in beauty, fashion and lifestyle trends – Excellent social media proficiency – Previous experience in an e-commerce / digital marketing may be advantageous – Previous experience in beauty / hair care / fashion may be advantageous – Previous experience in a fast-paced start-up environment may be advantageous – Ability to use Word, Excel, Powerpoint* – Photoshop * – Previous experience with Shopify* – Google analytics/AdWords understanding/experience* – Social media advertising and marketing understanding/experience* *when making your application please state your comfort level with any of these skills that you feel do not apply to you.
