WHAT IS TRIK?
TRIK is a drone 3D mapping and 3D reporting software for structural inspection.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We are a drone software start-up that has been established for over 2.5 years. We turn thousands of drone images into an interactive 3D model. Our vision is to enable anyone to utilise a drone in their line of work. With one click, a drone should be able to fly and automatically scan the structure. The 3D model is generated in your tablet in real time and you can use that 3D model as a controller to send a drone to the position you want, or use the 3D mode as a file directory to search for relevant images, annotate and measure distance or area, and generate inspection reports.
We have been featured in Forbes, the Financial Times, BBC, Huffington Post, etc., and we are funded by the UK government. We have been working with drone operator and engineering companies throughout Europe (including Airbus).
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a C++ software developer who likes computer vision and/or drone tech. You need to studied at least one module of Computer Vision in your degree OR have some experience using openCV, SFM or SLAM libraries. If you are fluent in GIT, Docker or Kubernetes that would be fantastic. If you like the challenge of solving real world problems and figure out how to make the best from the software then we need to talk. Please provide your GitHub account or code of your previous project if you can share it.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Working on photogrammetry algorithm from open source libraries and our C++ code base, optimizing the software and deploying the solution on the cloud in conjunction with our full stack developer.
Prototyping with live feed data from a drone; using live feeds data to generate a real-time 3D model (We have the library you can use)
We are a start-up out of Imperial College, which is one of the top Robotic Computer Vision /SLAM labs in the world. We have postdoc and professors that are available to advise and support. And most importantly, you will have a chance to work with real drones.
