What we are looking for;
At Therapy Box we are looking for a PHP (LAMP) developer to join our team. You may either have some PHP development experience, or formal training or be self trained, we don't mind, as long as you have the ability to develop high quality code, you are in the race!
We are looking for someone who possesses a passion for pushing web technologies to the limits and will work with our team of developers and project managers to create and support the next generation of our in house web services (front-end and back-end) and to take on the challenges of exciting third party projects. We are a multi award winning British app development company working in the specialist healthcare field. You would work from feasibility to getting to know the scoping document, working through requirements to ensure you operate along the right lines, getting involved in exploring and creating the newest trends in mobile and web spheres.

What are we not looking for;
If you feel more confident about an internship, this is not a suitable role for you. You need to have built a few php and my sql based projects.

What would the role entail;

- Create websites (front-end), back-end, web services and support current projects (ongoing maintenance)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the whole process
Participate in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance.
- Perform coding, testing, documentation and implementation of websites including cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and search engine optimization
- Research and track advancements in web development and implement them.
- Break any problem down into viable actionable chunks and solve them with clarity and precision.

What do you need to undertake this role;

- Strong knowledge of PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
- Understanding of LAMP working process, experience in MVC and Yii2 framework would be preferred.
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Experience with GIT or similar version control systems
- Solid understanding of responsive design
- Experience branching and merging code on a project with multiple developers
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, human-computer interaction or related field would be preferred
- Strong ability to recognise and predict use-cases and user interaction
- A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally and meet deadlines
