Backend Javascript Developer (fully remote option, very flexible hours and working)

at VeryConnect in Glasgow

A highly flexible developer role where you will be working with the latest technologies and with leading people in your field, with flexibility and opportunity to learn. (Salary depending on experience)

VeryConnect is a rapidly growing business to business software start-up, based in Glasgow, specialising in membership and association management. We offer a range of services customised to the administrative needs of organisations including payment management, campaign marketing and online community features.

We’re a small but highly ambitious international team, who are growing fast. You’ll be working with some of the most talented people in their fields, who are looking to scale. You’ll have opportunities for working from home, flexible hours/holidays and remote working as desired (note: you'll need to be in the EU).

The role will initially involve building a testing framework and suite of tests on our existing codebase. You will play a significant role in the design and architecture of the framework. In parallel, we will be refactoring the backend with the ambition to create an automated deployment process. The role will also involve data migration scripting on an ongoing basis. After creation of a successful testing framework and refactoring, the role can evolve to include general backend development.

We’re looking for the highly-talented backend developer among you, who loves (or is excited to learn) the latest web technologies (Node.js, Mongodb, Redis, Docker). We’ve got a truly innovative, expertly-coded platform and you’ll be working alongside some great developers (first class compsci degrees, past interns at NASA, PhDs in compsci, etc). Come join us!
