Fire Tech seeks an Operations Associate, UK, to play a key role in enabling our tech education programmes. We are growing at a fast pace and need someone with the grit, attention to detail, and energy to make sure our camps and courses are equipped to deliver the best possible experience to our students. We are looking for an Operations Associate who possesses both exceptional operational skills and interpersonal abilities as well as a strong interest in technology. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working together with the rest of the team, this individual will both implement existing operations process as well as have input into improving and developing our overall efficiency.
-Ensure all programmes have adequate materials and equipment on time and with complete accuracy. This involves planning, procurement, inventory checks (technical and physical), co-ordination with tutors and staff, packing, transport, classroom setup and shipping co-ordination. The role can be quite physically demanding at times.
-Provide first line support to tutors and staff looking for assistance with course items
-Co-ordinate with Technology to ensure technology requirements of courses are well understood
-Become familiar with our standard equipment and develop the ability to identify parts and undertake basic troubleshooting
-Develop expertise (via training and mentoring) in a number of our courses to provide more advanced support for tutors and staff
-Respond to customer service requests from our sites with speed, accuracy and positivity
-Manage facilities procurement. Research sites for facilities to host Fire Tech programming and visit sites to determine suitability to host our programmes. Develop and maintain relationships with participating schools.
-Manage an equipment and materials budget
-Manage equipment inventory, replacements & ordering
-Belief in Fire Tech’s mission and a passion for helping kids explore and pursue their interest in technology.
-Experience with complex, ambitious and super-fast growth businesses that rely on a robust operational infrastructure to succeed
-Exceptional operational and organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
-Demonstrable ability to prioritise and make decisions using data.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Ability to work efficiently and intensely while juggling multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment.
-2 + years working in an operations role.
-Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Full, clean drivers licence (manual) & comfortable driving in London
-9am-6pm Mon- Fri
-Location: Hammersmith, London
