The opportunity

At Zava we believe in giving people the power and confidence to treat the conditions society judges most. Every day we treat thousands of people across Europe who feel let down by the ‘old’ way of doing healthcare - phone calls, paper prescriptions, bureaucracy, waiting and worrying.

We’ve built an online medical platform that connects patients with doctors, pharmacies and test laboratories - providing safe, efficient and non-judgemental care to over 1.5 million patients in 6 countries and counting.

But this is just the beginning: we’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who will be responsible for leading Zava’s user experience efforts to increase access to online consultations.

They will be a key member of this exciting brand-new agile product team, working closely with the Product Owner, UX Researcher and Engineers to discover and build a brand new mobile-oriented product for a specific market. What you’ll do

Work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams (alongside designers and non-designers) to crack big, complex challenges in digital healthcare
Take strong customer insight into rapid design, prototyping and testing cycles
Build strong relationships, being a trusted advisor
Challenge us all to think bigger and to act smaller
Conceive and articulate winning approaches to new customer and business opportunities
Build empathy with people in order to deeply understand them and their needs
Wrangle customer insights from our team of UX Researchers into actionable designs
Design and facilitate interesting, engaging participatory workshops


REQUIREMENTS

What we’re looking for

5+ years in UX or related field
Commercial application of HCD methodologies such as workshop facilitation, user research, journey mapping, user testing, wire-framing and prototyping
Compassion, empathy, understanding and best practice customer experience, usability and accessibility standards
A storyteller at heart, with strong workshop facilitation skills
A highly self-organised and analytical thinker
A problem solver with ideas that challenge the norm and the practicality to execute those ideas in the form of delightful interaction design
A collaborative team player and communicator without ego who believes that the team is always stronger than the individual
Have a maker mindset with experience of working in lean, agile product teams
Confident using both qual and quant data to inform and measure the impact of their design
Have an interest and understanding of technology trends and their potential to humanise and scale modern digital medical services
Have positive attitude of 'how might we?' rather than 'it won't work because...'
