In a world of disposable attention, unread subscriptions and overflowing bookmarks newsreaders are struggling to keep themselves informed about the topics they care about. 

We believe in creating a better news experience to fit a modern life. Our SaaS platform gives news publishers and blogs the power to seamlessly serve automated and on-demand audio editions - enabling newsreaders to listen to stories through an audio player alongside news articles, podcast apps, or through interaction with smart speakers like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. 

Since our launch in 2018 we’ve cultivated a tight-knit team of a few developers, NLP engineers and marketers based in Bloomsbury, London. We’ve served over a million audio streams for news publishers around the world and are determined to be the audio and voice startup for the news industry. 

The Role

We’re looking for a personable, driven and meticulous sales and marketing person who will help us supercharge SpeechKit. You will be a key part of our team , working closely with the CEO, to accelerate sales across EMEA, North America and APAC


  • Plan, develop and execute creative and robust sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with the CEO and our sales advisors.

  • Generate and nurture a healthy pipeline of prospective clients online and offline. 

  • Build meaningful relationships with prospective and existing clients and clearly communicate how we can address their needs and desires. 

  • Work with our clients, developers and engineers to improve the product.

  • Improve and manage our sales tools. 

  • Work with Customer Success to improve account retention and engagement.

  • Work with Marketing to improve our communications.

  • Come up with a better title for the role. 


Experience in a sales role at a B2B SaaS startup would be preferred, but is not required. We are more concerned with finding an ambitious person who is willing to grow with our young team. Evidence of attention to detail and a track record of achieving high standards of work in a professional or academic environment will be sought. Additionally, some understanding of the news/media landscape would be useful. 

Ideally you’re a self-starter that is comfortable taking ownership of your work, goal-orientated, have a resilient growth mindset, are detailed orientated and comfortable with building new relationships.

Some experience using the following tools would be a plus

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Trello/Jira.
  • Google Drive.
  • Salesforce/Hubspot/ 
  • Slack.


  • £24,000 per annum.
  • 0.3–1% equity.
  • 25 days paid holiday.
