OnlineFuels UK is a fast-growing energy trading platform that was launched in 2016, currently specialising in the sale of refined bulk fuels.
The founder and CEO, James Stairmand, saw an opportunity for technology to be applied in an industry that was ready for change.
The first of its kind, it gives B2B customers the opportunity to order bulk fuel at the click of a button. Gaining international interest, OnlineFuels UK has recently announced that they will be moving into the German market as well, in a joint venture with energy giant Shell. They’re also launching a major new product into the industry so it’s an extremely exciting time to join.
Growing from a team of 3 to 12 within the last 8 months, the team is growing rapidly, and you could be a part of it while it’s still in its infancy.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Take lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
• Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
• Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
• Define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
• Follow our competitors and the industry
• Create product documentation
• Maintain JIRA structure and track status with the team members.
• Responsible for delivery timeline and work with across teams to get release prerequisite carried out.
• Plan and update the product roadmap and backlog.
• Prepare risk analysis and mitigation plan. Also ensure all the risk elements are identified, analyzed and mitigated throughout the entire project cycle.

Key Skills

• 5 or more years experience in product management, taking products from concept to launch.
• Project Management experience
• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in computer science background or equivalent.
• Highly organised
• A deep understanding of creative processes, UX and product design.
• An understanding of software development processes
• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
