Lightflows are looking for front-end web developers with real enthusiasm and drive to join our busy team based in The Surrey Technology Centre, Guildford.

We’re working with some super-exciting startup businesses, creating next generation platforms and products in the Property and FinTech spaces – these are amazingly cool and top secret – they don’t appear on our website, yet!

We’re developing web apps and native mobile products using modern frameworks and technologies such as React / JS / Node + PHP. Our frontend team use BEM Component based methodologies to deliver amazing stuff!

About you

We are looking for a front end Web Developer with real enthusiasm and drive to join our busy team based in The Surrey Technology Centre, Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a progressive company, with a varied customer base, who are committed to producing top-end web solutions, iOS and Android apps for their clients. We are looking with someone who has the technical abilities outlined below, and also has the ability to work to tight deadlines and someone who is confident building, maintaining and fixing websites.

Experience/Skills required

  • 2+ years developing for an in-house team
  • 2+ years of building websites from scratch

Experience in developing responsive and mobile sites essential

  • Experience of HTML, XHTML and CSS (including HTML5 & CSS 3)
  • Working knowledge of JQuery+ ES6 Javascript
  • Good understanding of compiled CSS including SASS
  • Familiar or interested in component based design and BEM
  • Use of CSS3 features such as animation and transitions
  • Use of frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
  • Working with templates in PHP, Twig or similar
  • Understanding of browser rendering pipeline (RAIL framework) and optimising browser delivery
  • Devops, package management and version control experience using git, grunt, bower, composer
  • Communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A team player

This is a permanent position and salary is negotiable depending on experience.
