at TechHub Europe Ltd in London
(₤20000 - ₤22000 per year)
Would you like to work in a high-growth company at the heart of London’s tech startup community, supporting entrepreneurs and startups in creating globally successful tech products?
TechHub is an international organisation with hubs across Europe and counts Google amongst its global partners. Our member startups around the world raise multiple millions of dollars in funding each year and have been acquired by the likes of Microsoft, Google, Twitter and Facebook. Using your skills and knowledge, you have the chance to make an impact on the success of our community.
TechHub is scaling up fast and we’re looking for a fantastically talented, and passionate receptionist/Community Assistant to join the London team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an awesome personality, that loves interacting with people and is keen to use those skills while working in London’s hottest startup environment.
Greet and interact with members and guests, sign in visitors, cover all front desk duties – you’re the face of TechHub and the first point of contact for any member or external guest. Plenty of people come through our doors every day – from aspiring entrepreneurs to famous investors and politicians.
Open and close the space, flag and log any facilities issue with the rest of the team.
Communicate community messages, internal events and opportunities to members face to face and online – making sure they’re informed and use their membership to their full potential.
Answer calls, emails and queries – our environment is buzzing and needs timely and helpful responses to those who are interested in joining or collaborating with our community.
Support internal membership processes – working closely with the Ecosystem and Finance teams. Hand out access cards, log requests from members, make them feel at home as soon as they enter the building.
Manage members incoming mail – dealing with couriers and processing parcels and mail in a timely manner. Distribute mail to the members.
Know everything that’s going on in the space at all times – everyone that walks through the door is your responsibility, unless they’re passed on to someone else.
Order supplies for the office.
Our ideal candidate is:
Friendly and personable with great communication skills – you love interacting with people and helping make their day the best it can be. TechHub members are awesome people and we know you’ll enjoy meeting and interacting with them.
Punctual, organised, and completely reliable.
Creative, process-driven, proactive – if you think something could be improved, we want to hear your thoughts – we’d love you to discuss solutions rather than problems, anticipate issues before they arise, and take action where it’s needed.
Send your CV and include a covering letter in your email. We will not consider applications without a covering letter! Tell us why you’re interested in the role and why we should hire you – we want to know why you’re excited by this particular opportunity.
Detail relevant experience and skills in the covering letter no need to write about your entire work history – concentrate instead on the parts that you consider most relevant to this position, as outlined in the job description.
Be professional but with personality – don’t write like a corporate drone, let your real self shine through your email.
Please NOTE: working hours are 11.15 to 20.15 Mon-Fri
