Senior Marketing Manager - Schools - EdTech
Salary - Negotiable for the right candidate
Central London location

MEL Science is a London-based EdTech company developing a unique approach to science education: combining hands-on experiments with Virtual Reality, to explain the science behind those experiments. We have already built a great consumer business and are now at the stage where we are scaling up to the K-12 market. We’re looking for a visionary Head of Schools Marketing who can help define and implement our marketing strategy for schools.
You’ll be a creative Marketing leader, adept at working across all digital and physical channels world-wide. You’ll have strong experience working with schools, ideally within an EdTech startup with global sales, and have helped a business to grow in revenue as well as brand.

As part of your role you’ll:
Define our school marketing strategy for lead generation and branding
Manage our presence at all relevant education conferences and exhibitions
Work with our sales team to create engaging content to support their outbound activities
Manage our social media strategy towards schools
Manage our email marketing
Coordinate development of the school section of our website
Use online targeted advertising to support the sales process
Help us to gain media coverage and enter Education awards
Build our own community of science teachers
Work close with our B2C marketing, sales, and website teams

About You
You’ll have at least three years experience of EdTech marketing within a fast-moving business. Ideally your target markets will have been both primary and secondary schools..
You must have a Science degree or a very good understanding of Scientific subjects and a clear passion about improving how Science is taught and explained to school-age children
Demonstrable experience in managing Marketing events and the Marketing calendar
Experience of international marketing as most of our sales are outside the UK (US, RoW)
You’ll demonstrate creative energy, an entrepreneurial mindset and you’ll underpin this with a data driven approach to achieve results.
Demonstrable success in developing and executing omnichannel marketing campaigns, both online and offline.
Marketing budget management.
We’d also love you to have great copywriting skills, and some SEO or PPC experience, but the latter two aren’t essential.
A proactive, resourceful approach, you’ll be hands-on, with great attention to detail and superb organisational skills.
A team player, you’ll relish the thought of joining an exciting startup looking to change how Science in Education is perceived.
