Garçon Wines are the London-based inventors of wine packaging for a sustainable, 21st century world. Recognised as a game-changer in the wine industry thanks to prestigious, multinational business customers, national & international awards and global press coverage in industry & consumer media, our innovative, eco, flat wine bottles and complementary transit packaging improve convenience and functionality for consumers and offer an unbeatable opportunity to slash carbon emissions and business costs from the supply chain of wine, creating a healthier planet, wealthier industry and happier consumers – a strong example of true sustainability.
Our use of 100% pre-existing PET plastic, not single-use plastic, means that Garçon Wines’ bottles help create a value for PET already in circulation, funding and fuelling its collection and helping prevent it ending up as waste in landfill or litter in our environment.
Garçon Wines is best known for Letterbox Wine®, launching with the pioneer of letterbox flower delivery Bloom & Wild in 2018. However, letterbox delivery of wine into UK homes is just the tip of the iceberg and our lightweight, strong and spatially efficient bottles are set to advance wine retailing, logistics and delivery across the globe.
We’re advancing the wine industry into the 21st century and need the dedication of new talent to help us communicate the massive opportunities we’ve got in the pipeline. You’ll be part of the original team that gets eco, flat wine bottles recognised globally and takes this sustainable packaging to new heights, assisting with the marketing and communications of them being offered for outdoor drinking at festivals to the travel industry for on-board consumption on planes, trains, ships and much more.
We’re looking for a new team member to join the marketing team to assist in growing the excellent reputational traction we’ve gained to date, and help spread the message about eco, flat wine bottles far and wide. You’ll be instrumental in the idea generation, planning, execution and measurement of marketing activities in the company. We’re a B2B company but communicate also like a B2C company at times as we’re introducing new consumer solutions too. Your activities will help to attract new business customers in a variety of industries and across different countries, while keeping in mind the end user in communications. You’ll ensure that our carefully crafted message is delivered effectively, and that the product and company are represented across various channels to grab people’s attention, communicating a range of important messages and driving purchasing decisions in the channels we operate in.
No two days will be the same, so this role is the ideal opportunity to get stuck in with all aspects of marketing, including but not limited to: managing our social communities and engagement; content generation; writing email campaigns and award applications; creating social media posts and campaigns; branding exercises; web analytics reporting; and measuring press coverage. The role is both creative and analytical so you should be very comfortable crafting beautiful sentences and also benefit from basic numerical skills. It offers the chance to be resourceful and think outside the box for new and innovative ways to get our message out to the world and encourage acceptance and adoption of our eco, flat wine bottles.
Our young company has huge potential and the team is passionate about everything they do, especially sustainability. With numerous large opportunities in the pipeline, it’s a highly exciting time to join and launch yourself into a great career from the get-go. If you’re looking for the chance to shine and for your hard work to be acknowledged, we can offer a seriously exciting role where every day brings new and exciting challenges. Although you’ll report to your manager, we operate a flat hierarchy and you’ll be pushed to take responsibility for the ideas that you generate and the decisions you make. The company CEO & co-founder is as approachable as anyone else in the company and he’ll be there to help and motivate you when possible.
As with all our new starters, the role will operate as an initial probationary period of around three months, subject to the candidate, and remunerated on an escalating tiered system. Following successful completion of your probationary period, a review will take place and there will be an agreed salary upon becoming a permanent member of the Garçon Wines team. We want you to feel that we’re a good fit for you, just as much as you’re a good fit for the team.
For us, experience is not key; attitude is. If you’ve got the right attitude, outstanding energy and a willingness to get stuck in, we want to hear from you. With this in mind, an interest to learn more about the complex product that is wine is a plus but not a necessity.
