About the role
We need someone to join our team as a Business Development Intern.
You’ll be responsible for matching our families and nannies together. Most of your day will be spent speaking with families and nannies to help them decide if they are a perfect match for each other. There's lots or reasons why they may or not be, and it's our job to work out the best way that we can help our families flourish!
You’ll have the freedom to experiment and improve the way we do things. We’ll give you all the training and support you need to do the job really well. In particular, you’ll learn advanced techniques to help customers resolve problems and make decisions.
The role is available as a 12-week internship, with potential to extend further. You’ll work full time hours for your time here, roughly 09:30-18:30 each weekday.
You’ll earn pro rata £20k per year.
Start date is ASAP.
We’re after an all-rounder who is clever, practical and nice. You’re empathetic by nature and really love to help people.
We’re looking for recent graduates who are looking to gain experience in a fast paced startup. We don’t mind what degree you’ve done, as long as you’ve done well in it. We’ll be looking for evidence of drive, aspiration and enthusiasm in the extracurricular stuff you’ve done.
Ideally you’ve got previous experience in a customer service or sales role, but this isn’t essential.
You must be eligible to work full time in the UK.
You’re comfortable speaking to new people, both in person and on the phone.
Although you like to talk, the most important thing you’ll do is listen.
You’re detail-oriented. You’ll be working in a complex system, and the details must be 100% correct.
You’re able to write clearly, simply and accurately.
You can work at a fast pace and under pressure. You are comfortable with a degree of chaos.
You’re humble and a fast learner. You’re excited to try new things and respond well to feedback.
You’re nice. You get that no player is bigger than the team. You fit right into our culture of supporting and helping each other, whilst improving childcare in London.
