The Role - Mobile QA Engineer

We’re building the best savings account in the world, and we need focused, observant and diligent testers to help ensure the products we ship are as seamless as possible.

We want our apps on all platforms (iOS and Android) to be an amazing experience for our customers and we need quality QA engineers to help us achieve that goal.

You’ll be responsible for testing all our apps and services and determining when features or updates are ready to release, prioritising bugs as you find them, detailing them and working with our Product, Customer Success teams and Scrum Masters to determine their place our development and release cycles.

We need QA Engineers who are technically minded and product focused. You’ll be expanding an automation code based, with the intention of rewriting and having a canvas to implement and suggest no approaches, you’ll be comfortable manually testing a few items with the shift mentality of automating throughout the test pyramid. 

What you'll do

  • Creating mobile test automation frameworks and building test suites from scratch

  • Implementing mobile test automation on Android and iOS mobile environments

  • Writing detailed test scripts across all mobile platforms

  • Implementing the mobile testing architecture for QA

  • Build, run, monitor and maintain the mobile test suites to verify the quality of the development platforms

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools

  • Ideally a programming background, though not essential

  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Experience receiving and managing customer bug report feedback

Required Experience

  • Experience in either Kotlin / Java / Swift / C#

  • Experience working in dev-solutions

  • Espresso / XCUITest knowledge

  • Mocking services

  • Experience architecting mobile testing solutions

  • API Testing

  • Experience with test automation tools and strategies

  • Communication skills - ability to communicate with clients and line management


  • £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Interview Process

  • Call with the hiring manager (Head of QA)
  • Technical task (writing some BDD testing scripts in the language of your choice)
  • Final Interview where you will get to meet the team and show us how great you are
