Kugali is a company that showcases the best African stories using art and animation. These are stories that respect the history of Africa, embrace the present and imagine a future. With one of the largest collections of African cartoons anywhere, we decided to start the Kugali Anthology which is the first Pan-African comic book anthology. We recently ran a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign where we raised the funds needed to bring this project to life which you can see below: https://kickstarter.kugali.com
This success has provided us with the foundation and fan base that we need to take this project to the next level and in order to scale we’re interested in bringing in new people to help us build on our recent success. We’re looking for candidates with skills across the following areas: Digital marketing, content marketing, branding, design and research. Regardless of your area of expertise, you will end up working on a wide range of tasks so a willingness to learn (and be out of your comfort zone) is the most important thing that we’re looking for as well as an ability to take initiative. Ultimately Kugali’s mission is two-fold: producing great content relevant to African culture and finding ways to monetise said content and if you believe you can help us do this then we want to work with you. An ideal candidate should have an interest in media, particularly visual art and storytelling narratives. We’re happy to cover expenses (travel, food etc) and any costs you may incur while working on the job. There will also be opportunities for full time and part time roles within the company.
