Circa is a London based start-up working on eliminating single-use packaging in the beauty industry, with an initial focus on travel miniatures. We create a circular retail platform that enables travel minis to be re-filled and re-used. We are in the process of starting a pilot at a London Airport in December 2019. It is important to note that we are not a maker but an enabler, this means that we do not create the products and instead we work with existing brands and enable them to distribute their products in a more sustainable way.
We are in the final stages of discussion with a London airport to pilot a six-week pop-up and as part of that am looking for an artist/sculptor who would be interested in working with our in house store designer to create art installations to compliment the store. We would be looking for the pieces of art to be made from waste, in particular, plastic. We can support with the sourcing of the materials. The role will be paid but also provides the individual with the opportunity to have their work showcased to 37,000 people every day. Our store is located as the first store passengers pass by and therefore we capture 100% of footfall. Once the pilot is completed, the art will be given to a UK school.
