Vintage Product Assistant @ Rapid Growing Startup - LEEDS

Passionate about all things vintage? Got ants in your pants about antiques?

Does something drive you to collect, sort, and seek out things from an ultra-specific niche, time or place?

Do you know what it takes to be a collector?

We’re not just talking casual eBay users and flea market wanderers looking for a trinket for the mantle. We’re talking obsessed with the old.

Then that’s it. You’re who we’re looking for.

We need these skills to help drive our continued growth. At Vintage Cash Cow, we offer a truly unique Vintage ReCommerce service that makes it free and easy for people to sell their old, vintage and antique items.

We’re expanding rapidly and we need someone with experience and passion to help value, sort and sell the thousands of fascinating items we get through the door each day.

You’ll likely have an area of expertise already - maybe it’s cameras, jewellery or militaria - but you’ll understand how to turn this trained eye onto another area of focus.

We want you to be able to get involved in the process of researching items you haven’t worked with before, recognising value, and categorising items based on these findings.

We also want you to help support the growing team by sharing knowledge and supporting positive research and value identification practices.

If you’ve just read this and thought “YES!” - you’re still who we’re looking for.

Who are Vintage Cash Cow?

It’s simple. We’re the easy way for people to sell their old stuff.

People have cupboards, attics, lofts and garages full of wonderful old vintage items. However, there’s no fast and easy way to sell it all, so it sits in homes for years.

All you have to do is pop the items in a box, send it to us (for free, of course) and we’ll get our in-house experts to value them. We then make the customer a cash offer and, if they like it, we’ll pay them that day.

It’s a free to use, haggle and hassle-free service, and it’s loved by thousands.

We’ve got a Trustpilot score of 9.4, our Glassdoor is banging and we’ve got incredible investor backing from the founders of Just Eat and WeTransfer, among others.

Why would you want to work here?

  • Working with items you love. You'll get to handle the types of vintage products you have an interest in every day.

  • A chance to grow. You’ll get an education in a wide range of other vintage product ranges.

  • Great team spirit. Everyone in the company is passionate about what they do and the enthusiasm is infectious.

  • A company you want to talk about. With a score of 9.4/10 on TrustPilot, you can take pride in helping grow a service loved by thousands.

What’s in it for you?

  • Starting salary of £18,000.

  • 22 days holiday. An extra two at Christmas too.

  • Early riser? Bit of a night owl? Work your hours around times that suit you.

  • Free lunch everyday. Coffee and tea on tap too.

  • Gym opposite the office. We cover the cost too.

  • 5-minute walk from Leeds City Centre.

  • Got wheels? Free parking at the office.

  • Cameras
  • Jewellery
  • Watches
  • Coins/ banknotes
  • Medals/ militaria

The first stage is a quick chat about the role where you can ask some questions and tell us a bit more about yourself.
