Our journey so far

Motley is at the most exciting phase of its growth to date. We launched in October 2018, are currently closing a venture-backed seed fundraising round, and have huge aspirations to become the global jewellery brand for the 21 st century. We're looking for someone to be a crucial part of that early journey with us (the seventh member of the team); who's up for the rollercoaster road of the early stage start up; and who genuinely wants to be part of disrupting an industry that's ready for a shake-up.


About The Role

As Marketing and Content Executive you will be responsible for copywriting, social media management and content creation across Motley’s marketing channels, showcasing the brand in all its glory


You Will

  • Write exceptional content for all marketing channels, consolidating the Motley tone of voice ensuring campaign messages are on brand, succinct and informative (we love a pun, and a clever one at that)
  • Plan and schedule social content across our key channels, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, engaging with our community in a timely and interactive way
  • Support our influencer outreach programme, helping to build a collaborative network of like-minded influencers with a focus on driving revenue
  • Liaise with our PR agency, supporting with press loans, releases, content and day-to-day communications
  • Producing brilliant, insightful and well researched editorial content for the Motley blog and third party sites, optimising for SEO in a seamless way
  • Support the marketing efforts and wider team across all platforms with each new marketing campaign or activation


About You

We know brilliant people can come from a wide range of places – but we wouldn't be surprised if you have:

  • 1-3 years experience in a social content or copywriting role, be it inhouse for a brand, for an agency or publication - although we’d also welcome a talented grad with great work experience
  • A creative flair with words and an appreciation for good imagery and aesthetics. You like to push the boundaries and take risks when copywriting, and are confident adapting to audience and channel
  • Experience using a breadth of marketing channels, including, social media, email marketing and PR
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of social media platforms and their nuances
  • Experience of working in an early stage start up or consumer brand
  • Experience building relationships with influencers and content creators would be a plus
