BYP Network is looking to hire a 360° Recruitment Consultant to handle the entire recruitment process from start to finish. This includes flexibility to work across a number of job sectors and engage with both clients and candidates.
We are a small but passionate team that are focused on changing the black narrative by providing the best jobs to black professionals, and best talent to our corporate clients. Essentially, we are a platform that connect black professionals to each other and organisations that care about diversity & inclusion. We have a network of over 40,000 members, been featured in billboards across London, and work with the likes of Facebook, Sky, Netflix, Accenture, Soho House etc.
Identifying and developing client/business relationships
Converting customers who post on our Job Board to use BYP recruitment services
Negotiating terms of business and fee structures
Taking a comprehensive job brief and being sure to ‘ask the right questions’
Managing the client’s expectations - e.g. availability of candidates in the market, salary bench-marking, salary negotiation, providing realistic timelines to fill jobs, having the ability to ‘close’
Networking to build business information that can be converted into commercial opportunities
Approaching and attracting candidates with an enticing written and/or verbal pitch about job opportunities with our clients
Sourcing suitable candidates directly
Identifying suitable candidates from our network
Managing the process through the interview to offer stage and beyond
Offering CV, career and interview preparation advice
Negotiating pay and salary rates, and finalising arrangements between client and candidate
Maintaining a candidate database
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Recruitment Consultant
Good track record in billing (candidates who can provide proof of commission earned to date at interview will be favoured)
Excellent communicator with a polite demeanour
Networking and/or client development abilities
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong commercial business acumen
A passionate desire to succeed and build a successful career
A winning mentality with the willingness to hit targets and earn commission
The ability to overcome objection and be persistent
An openness to learn and adapt to new proven techniques
DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)
Someone who can hit the ground running and bring a network of clients with them (please be sure to state this at interview, if shortlisted)
Entrepreneurial flare and desire to build a department from scratch
