We’re looking for a new member of the team to join us as soon as possible, a valued member who will work with the General Manager to ensure the company’s operations and finances run sustainably, efficiently and cost effectively.
The role will involve frequent written and verbal communications with supply partners and/or suppliers, colleagues and our accountant. You’ll be required to maintain positive working relationships whilst ensuring operational schedules and high standards are adhered to. Ours is a fast-paced environment and you’ll need to be confident in your decision making and concise, effective and polite in your communications. You’ll report directly to the General Manager, but from the get-go you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of processes. You’ll need to be ready for, and motivated by, a challenge.
You’ll also be supporting the General Manager to help ensure the company constantly evaluates its day-to-day operations and processes, and then help to plan, implement and execute the necessary measures that will allow the team to stay at the top of their game. Military attention to detail and excellent time-management will be fundamentally important to make a success of this role.
In addition, you´ll be engaged with, but not be limited to, the following:
- Ordering from suppliers and coordinating stock movement
- Inventory management – dry and wet goods
- Ensuring cost effectiveness and time-sensitivity across the supply chain
- Assisting in the management of the relationships with key supply partners
- Support to the General Manager during NPD
- Maintaining an overview of the operations and admin requirements of the management team
- Help plan and facilitate meetings and events, including logistical arrangements
- Ad hoc operations and administrative duties for the company as and when required
- Collecting and organising receipts from expenses
- Monitoring of expenses
- Elements of basic bookkeeping
- Invoice payment scheduling
- Ad hoc support tasks for the management team
As with all our new starters, the role will operate as an initial probationary period of around three months, subject to the candidate, and remunerated on an escalating tiered system. Following successful completion of your probationary period, a review will take place and there will be an agreed fair market salary upon becoming a permanent member of the Garçon Wines team.
