At Hutch, we aim to make the best mobile racing games in the world. When we launch a game, that’s just the start: we use player feedback and most critically data to figure out how to make each game the best it can be. With three live titles now thriving, we see some great opportunities in some more advanced approaches to analytics – and that’s where you come in.
Each games team has a dedicated analyst who works closely with the Game Director to help steer future development; this role goes beyond that. You’ll estimate impact and prioritise different initiatives (retargeting/reactivation, CRM, churn prediction, Ad LTV modelling…), working with our technical team to build or connect tools to support these, and analyse the results across all applicable games.

Some examples of the work you could be involved in:
Create a model to predict word-of-mouth/k-factor uplift for each game
Run a regression to sense-check a 3 rd party’s estimate of Ad LTV
Work with the marketing team to test and optimise retargeting/reactivation campaigns
Consult with game analysts to identify analytical opportunities across all our games
You’re deeply comfortable with numbers. Your instinctive approach to any problem is to quantify it first. You always notice when news reports fail to contextualise numbers.
Your analysis has led to quantifiable improvements.
You’ve got 4+ years of experience (or more!) in an analytical role.
Desirable. Two is fine. None are essential.
Curious – driven to discover underlying explanations of things, just for fun
Experienced with one or more data tools/languages – Excel, Python, R, SQL…
Perhaps you play games, and have ideas about what makes something fun
You might enjoy communicating your findings with great data visualisations
Experience in statistics, modelling, or other such generally useful techniques, is useful
You’ve played a game by Hutch and have some good ideas on how to improve it!
