The Digital Pathways Lead is responsible for the growth and development of the digital pathways team, which includes the team leads and coaches for our Data, Digital Marketing and Software Engineering programmes. This person will need strong programme management skills as well as leadership and management experience to manage our rapidly scaling digital pathway of programmes and an interest and expertise in delivering when needed, and designing and developing curriculum.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a consistently high quality apprentice experience across our data, digital marketing and software engineering programmes from point of onboarding, through programme delivery, assessment, completion and beyond
  • Work with the Curriculum Team to build and develop programmes that are consistent with our principles of applied learning
  • Identify and collect the data that will enable us to iterate and inform delivery model development to ensure we take a data-driven approach to programme improvements, using feedback from coaches, apprentices and employers to ensure content remains relevant and high quality
  • Develop the strategic and operational strategy for our key digital pathway programmes, ensuring that there are clear priorities which will focus on apprentice progress, development and experience
  • Act as hiring manager for all the digital pathway coaches and work with internal recruitment team to develop ways to recruit and train coaches at scale.
  • Develop team and programme leaders from within your team to build a pipeline of talent to ensure coach team has capacity to meet growing demand
  • Provide management and guidance on coach observations to team leads, deliver training to team leads and drive consistently high quality delivery
  • Work with Sales and Programme Operations to support the development of new delivery approaches that work at scale and as we grow the business outside our current hub of greater London.
  • Work closely with the compliance, programme operations and curriculum leads to ensure processes are being followed correctly and that data required for funding and learning evidence is being properly collected and codified.

Requirements

  • Experienced programme manager with experience of building, managing, delivery of and scaling training programmes
  • Prior experience of software engineering, data analysis and/or digital marketing and understanding of the other two disciplines is required for the role
  • Deep business and teaching expertise. You are able to build credibility with our coaches through the experience you can draw on working with business teachers, coaches and industry experience. You constantly draw on this experience to think about programme design and curriculum
  • Strong people manager with proven experience hiring at scale and managing rapidly expanding people organisations. Experience managing remote or distributed teams would be ideal. People leadership is a critical part of this role
  • Deep operational expertise. You have experience streamlining and scaling processes. You are an expert problem solver and enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges. And you do so with a smile on your face
