You will develop an in vitro model for testing immunotherapies. Currently, Pear’s proprietary organ-on-a-chip contains a solid tumour module and a liver module, with an injection circuit to circulate blood and drugs. First, you will incorporate immune cells (e.g., T cells) into the chip and test existing immunotherapies (e.g. CAR T-cell therapies, immune checkpoint inhibitors) to verify the accuracy of the model.
