Who are we looking for


In this role you'll take the lead of TaxScouts' brand and product marketing. You'll be working alongside our digital marketers and will be responsible for all TaxScouts brand marketing and advertising campaigns outside of paid digital and SEO.  Working closely with our product, design and digital marketing team you'll come up with creative and memorable campaigns for existing and potential users. 

You'll know who we want to market to, when and how. You'll ensure all our marketing and external communication is engaging and tells our story the right way.  Our commercial partners will rely on you as their go-to-person for collateral and communication around taxes.

This is a highly creative role, but one also that’s tied directly to our growth and performance. You’ll be the core contributor in building our marketing strategy from the ground up and will be the key voice in defining our brand. We’re a small team –so you’re a hands-on, get-stuff-done kind of person.

This is a maternity leave cover position for up to 1 year, giving you plenty of time flex your creative marketing muscle. And, for the right person, there is an opportunity to stay with us longer in a different capacity.

What you'll do

  • Bring a bit of a sparkle into the most sombre industry (after funeral directors)
  • Conceive, plan and deliver memorable marketing campaigns to existing and potential users
  • Grow our organic community on social media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Manage all marketing communications with our existing users, keeping us top of their mind
  • Support our commercial partners with marketing collateral and comms planning
  • Manage creative and PR agencies, when necessary
  • Conduct regular user research to maintain a deep understanding of who our target audience is and how to reach them 

 

What we expect from you

  • Superb communicator of new ideas and concepts
  • 3-5 years of experience in product or brand marketing roles in a consumer business (preferably in a startup)
  • Experience of creating outstanding marketing campaigns from scratch–online and offline
  • Social, CRM, word of mouth, market research and positioning are all good friends of yours
  • You’re articulate, driven, organised and not afraid to express your opinion
  • Experience with media buying and managing creative/PR agencies


Bonus experience

  • If you've spent time working at a creative agency, even better!
