About Arabesque AI

Arabesque AI is a research and technology company, that emulates human decisions in finance and portfolio management through its proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engine. The AI Engine is used to evaluate and forecast investment opportunities in the financial markets, and is architected as a massively parallel and distributed system. The company’s mission is “General AI for finance”, whilst incorporating sustainability factors within its investment strategies.

The Role

Following a Series A round, Arabesque AI is in a period of rapid growth and looking for AI Researcher Interns to join our AI Research Team! Our work covers a broad spectrum of science-based fields deploying approaches from Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Feature Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Ensemble Methods, Network Analysis, Bayesian Approaches, Signal Processing, Portfolio Optimisation, Agent Based Modelling and Swarm Intelligence.

Over the course of the internship, you will conduct a research project with the aim of generating novel insights for the development of the AI Engine, under the mentorship of one of our AI Researchers.

Internships are 3 months long, starting at the beginning of each quarter.

Remaining 2020 Dates:

Q3: 1 July – 30 September 2020

Q4: 1 October – 31 December 2020

Please note due to COVID-19, our Q3-2020 internship will be remote working.

Requirements

  • You will be in the process of completing a PHD, or have research experience in one or more of these fields; Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Feature Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Ensemble Methods, Network Analysis, Bayesian Approaches, Signal Processing, Portfolio Optimisation, Agent Based Modelling and Swarm Intelligence
  • Whilst a PhD qualification is preferred, exceptional MSc graduates will be considered
  • You engage in personal side projects, or activity in the open source community
  • Knowledge of finance and professional experience is not a necessity
