Founded in 2019 in London, HighCohesion was started by two software architects and serial entrepreneurs: Luke Hodgson and Andy Slater. Their mission? To simplify complex data challenges. To ensure that the product meets business strategy and company goals, through the planning and delivery of the product life cycle, working closely with the Development, Sales and Marketing teams and being the critical interface between customers and the business to ensure both customers' needs are met and revenue goals are achieved.
What you’ll be doing
Defining and maintaining the product vision, strategy and resulting product roadmap by using inputs from business strategy, company goals, customers needs and our competition.
Rigorously assessing all features of the Product Road Map to then act as a highly effective and continuous conduit between the Business, Customers and the Development Team by defining, prioritising and launching product features.
Using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision making by defining the metrics that we use to measure product performance, customer satisfaction and return on investment.
To continually demonstrate a “fail fast” mentality in the Business to undertake valuable experimentation to produce testable MVPs with the least amount of resource.
Strive to make our product best in class by using being up to date on industry developments and new technologies, regularly benchmarking with other companies and continuously analysing the competition.
Demonstrating and providing strong Leadership and Performance Management, through an indirect reporting relationship with the Development Team by working towards a common goal, demonstrating the value in what they are building, ensuring timely and rich feedback from the end customer and through communicating changing priorities as openly and accurately as possible.
Maintaining a strong working relationship and working closely with the Development Lead on how the Development Team is performing, helping mitigate impacts on velocity and ensure that commercial goals are openly understood.
To continuously grow and develop in the Organisation, both personally and in role, providing an ever-increasing quality of product, commercial opportunities through Partnerships and impressive core product management skills. The role aspires to a Head of Product position within HighCohesion.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Demonstrable experience of launching and refining products and features in a high growth environment, ideally within a new business. Evidence of taking a product from a basic form and transitioning it to revenue generating with multiple users and sustained business success.
In depth experience of creating quality user stories, mock -ups and working with agile development processes.
Strong experience of defined or managed product vision and strategy, including planned and owned Product Road Maps and successfully managed backlogs.
An analytical mindset with experience of collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to inform the product and business decisions and used metrics to prove business value of the product.
Well - developed customer management and relationship skills being able to empathise with the customer, problem-solve, elicit clear requirements, feedback and an ability to identify the real needs of customers and not just what the customer thinks.
Highly developed time-management and organisation skills with the ability to manage and balance numerous different challenges and tasks in a balanced manner in meeting business and customer needs.
Proven successful delivery in challenging business environments with demanding targets.
Highly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent in English.
Knowledge of the automation of data processing and the integration of core ecommerce systems.
Strong ecommerce knowledge gained a background of product management in the industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of present-day ecommerce trends and new developments in the marketplace.
Understanding of what makes high growth ecommerce companies successful and their key operational challenges.
High level knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS), including a basic understanding of subscription pricing models and the scalability considerations of cloud software.
Demonstrate the ability to balance the continual push for product improvement product whilst also recognising success.
