We are an ambitious start-up looking to transform the future of work. One of our growth strategy is mergers and acquisition. We are looking for a CFO Co-founder to join us and be responsible for the M&A function of the business.
It is an equity offer position. The generation of revenue will be split amongst co-founders. With the anticipated growth, there is a plan to offer a salary and commission. This is a completely remote position.
The CFO has a key role to play in identifying targets, by establishing guidelines and benchmarks for the corporate development team to use in the vetting process.
The CFO must also evaluate whether a target will integrate smoothly and efficiently, and whether synergies can be realised.
The CFO is critical to a successful deal, from target valuation to assessing target financial quality of earnings to identification of financial synergies to post-transaction integration.
The CFO must specifically give important input to the drafting and negotiation of aspects of the definitive transaction agreement within his or her scope of responsibilities, including financial statement representations, working capital and other purchase price adjustments and earnout provisions.
