TravelTime is a VC-backed B2B technology company specialising in location-based data. Our business model is based on selling licenses to other businesses so they can access our travel time data. We make location data searchable by travel time so our customers can...
Visualise an area that's reachable within a travel time limit on a map e.g. "highlight every location on a map that's within 30 minutes drive of my house"
Calculate travel times from a point of origin to thousands of destinations e.g. calculate the time it takes to walk from Amsterdam Central station to every hotel in Amsterdam and rank it in a list
Calculate an A to B route (similar to the routing apps many of us have on our phones)
Location analytics: retailers analyse this data when choosing where to place a new store or close an existing store, local marketing teams can use it to target ads hyper-locally to anyone within 5 mins walk, businesses that are relocating can calculate commutes for all existing staff to new potential office locations to avoid people quitting due to long commutes, delivery companies use it to know which customer to deliver to first, second and third in the day.
Consumer-facing search companies: any company that searches and delivers location data on their website can do this by travel time rather than "X miles away". For example search for hotels based on travel time to the airport on an accommodation website, find jobs on a recruitment page based on commute time to your house, search for a new house by commute time on a real estate search page.
