Love cooking, hustling, got time to kill & love an opportunity? Then read on.
My name’s Ross, and I run a startup called Cookt - A marketplace for Interactive Cookbooks.
So, what's an interactice cookbook?
Well unlike rubbish eBooks (PDF's in disguise), and Cookbooks that sit on shelves, we've created the worlds first Interactive Cookbook. It's your favourite cookbook - Jamie Oliver, Otolenghi etc, but it lives on your phone, and lets you order ingredients, scale servings, and even reads you instructions as you cook - OUT LOUD; timers too (it's like you're cooking with Jamie). Pretty cool.
We're launching in 2-3 months and we're after a badass marketer to join the founding team and lead everything marketing.
Fret not. You won't be alone. We already have our tech, sales, design & PR positions filled, we just need a super-good-at-what-they-do marketer to take us to the moon.
This role is perfect for someone who lives & breathes marketing, cooking food, enjoys a good cookbook (or 2), and can hit the gorund running. If you have experience in the food industry, or cookbook publishing then you are our person!
You'll ideally have an entrepenurial streak, a thirst for success, and are exceptional at marketing.
You're main role would be build a marketing playbook, social strategy, launch campaign, and blog & email content. Basically everything needed to get us out there in the big wide world.
You'll be working closely with our PR guy Dan (he's the bee's knee's at PR), and our founder Ross (me) to roll out Cookt to the masses. You'll be working with publishers, new chefs, top foodie talent and more helping us get the message of our brand new cookbook format to the world.
If you LOVE food, LOVE what you do, and wanna be part of something new and groundbreaking then drop me a line.
DISCLAIMER: I’m gonna be honest, the pay’s gonna be pretty loose for the first few months, as this is all self funded - you'll have plently of resources at your disposal though, so all good - hence why it's part time so we can find our feet and make sure you're the right person for the role. Of course there's exceptionally great shares (Worth £4M+ at buy out in 4-5 years time) and an attrative pay package should you turn out to be the right person.
Cookt makes money by taking a percentage of each cookbook sale (and other revenue streams), therefore we have the potential to make money very fast. We've haven't sold any books yet, as we're not live, but expect to be within the next couple of months.
If you are or know anyone who likes a challenge, wants to be part of something big with the potential to change lives by helping people cook, and of course make an impact (and lots of startup money) then drop me a message
Looking forward to hearing from you.
