This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative tech start-up at a pre-funding stage and own a true stake in the business. We have validated the problem we are solving and are confident that we can disrupt an entire industry whilst creating a whole new user experience. What excites us most about our solution is that it is highly scalable and has the potential to be launched all over the world.  

The role 

As a member of the Founding Executive Team, you will help to shape the global growth strategies for our B2B2C product as we look to launch in early Autumn 2020. We expect to scale quickly and your experience of building communities of users in different global locations will be invaluable as we achieve this rapid growth. This is a hands-on role and you will be expected to get your hands dirty in the weeds. This is not a role for someone expecting to lead a team from day one.  

In the role, among many exciting things you’ll be delivering will be hands-on: 

  • Pragmatic go-to-market plan that will achieve growth with a start-up budget 
  • Gaining alignment with team members of our north-star metrics 
  • Building the pipeline and funnel to drive global acquisition, engagement and awareness 
  • Building potential user awareness and traffic across all global markets 
  • Developing & driving our growth marketing strategy 
  • Scaling & optimising performance marketing spend across channels  
  • Telling our story in media with data-driven and product-led messaging 

You will be able to demonstrate: 

  • A depth of understanding of digital marketing channels and growth levers 
  • High commercial acumen, preferably with online marketplace expertise 
  • B2B as well as B2C growth and scale background 
  • Strong numerical skills with ability to quickly execute campaigns, learn and go again 
  • Demonstrable experience in turning brand strategy into operational activities 
  • Incredible work ethic, drive and passion 
  • Excellent internal and external rapport builder, establishing strong relationships and developing a high-performing team 
  • Organised, ambitious, data-driven and happy to get your hands dirty 
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Multi-country/region experience preferred 
  • Online marketplace expertise 

You will: 

  • have proven experience excelling in a start-up environment 
  • have a very strong grasp of digital marketing, ideally for community-based businesses and particularly across social, and be comfortable building, managing, measuring and refining campaigns 
  • have a strong understanding of funnel optimisation, defining, setting and measuring targets across all stages of our funnel 
  • have experience building successful brands from the ground up 
  • be a very strong communicator and copywriter  
  • have a proven ability of doing great things with small budgets 
  • be a team player and team builder - multi-channel marketing will be key to our growth and you’ll be building out that team over time 
  • be comfortable with uncertainty - we are at the very earliest stages of being a start-up, pivots will most likely be necessary and at first structure will be necessarily minimal, but we are highly focused on creating a culture and business we can be extremely proud of 

What we offer 

As we are pre-launch and pre-funding, we are seeking talented and dedicated professionals to join our start up. Whilst we are not yet able to offer a salary, for this critical role we are offering an equity stake in the business. Once we are funded, we will look to offer competitive packages in addition to the equity you hold.
