We are a team of teachers, parents and technologists based in London, who all understand both the emotional and academic value of one-to-one tuition. Our mission is to make this accessible to everyone, not just the lucky few.
Since our inception in 2013, we’ve been working with schools and supporting teachers with online one-to-one maths tuition as part of the school timetable, helping to reinforce their classroom teaching… and the feedback has been brilliant!
Since then, we have worked with thousands of teachers (and tens of thousands of pupils) to deliver online, one-to-one maths teaching. We’ve also established a research partnership with the world’s leading teacher training organisation – UCL’s Institute of Education – to gain insights from the thousands of hours of live teaching we deliver each week.
Why should you be excited about joining us?
The challenge of closing the attainment gap in education is even greater now that the coronavirus has hit us. Online tuition, in partnership with schools and teachers, must be a part of the solution. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, social impact and innovation to help us scale our solution from UK primary to global primary and secondary audiences.
We are an established UK primary school edtech business helping to close the maths attainment gap for disadvantaged pupils. We’ve supported over 2,000 primary schools and 75,000 children with one-to-one maths teaching in the last six years. To close the attainment gap further, we must support those pupils who enter secondary school behind their peers.
We are looking for a former secondary school maths teacher who is keen to extend their classroom experience by moving to an innovative company that is helping solve educational challenges at scale. Your passion for education can be scaled to tens of thousands of students and tutors in the UK and beyond, and you will gain exposure across the company by working closely with teams in both product and customer facing roles.
We are already building and localising a taxonomy for secondary maths in both UK and US markets and then plan to extend this to other English-speaking geographies. Your role will be to support the launch of our secondary school product, and help to build a successful sales pipeline through creating high quality, innovative content aimed at secondary school leaders, and maths teachers.
- Write engaging blogs on popular secondary school topics
- Produce teaching resources for secondary teachers
- Run sales demos with secondary school leaders
- Work closely with our product team to provide market and customer insights
