Are you a creative graduate currently working on personal projects and wanting to connect with others to produce amazing things together?

We’re Tini Sea. We’re building a small community of creatives with the goal of collaborating together on exciting projects that you can showcase on your portfolios, which will hopefully impress future employers. We’re looking to bring on board creatives from all walks of life with a range of skills, and hope to connect you and other emerging creatives who would best compliment each other’s skill sets.

In any company, creatives rarely work alone - so why would you now?

We’ve started this platform with the intention of helping creatives to connect together and work on short briefs while playing to each other’s strengths to make something amazing.

We can provide you with mock creative briefs to work on together, which will enable you to start working together as an effective team, before eventually moving on to facilitating you while you work on personal projects within the community.

We would prefer it if you have experience in any of the following creative fields and an ability to work well within a remote team, but if you have an interest in these roles and can prove you’ve got the skills for it, we’d still love to hear from you.

  • Animation
  • Graphic/Visual Design
  • Sound Design
  • Illustration
  • Video Editing
  • Photography/Videography
  • Directing
  • Art direction (with or without a copywriter partner)
  • Creative writing
  • Character development

Ideally you will be in/ near London for future meet-ups, but as we are all working remotely, feel free to apply even if you are based further afield.

Lately there has been an abundance of internships and unpaid positions which intend to benefit the company significantly more than the employee. Whilst this is also a voluntary opportunity, our vision is to create a mutual benefit to all of those involved in these projects, putting you in control of the types of work you want to see come to life, and not working for the financial gain of others.

This is an opportunity for those of you who are in the position we have been in, where you don’t have enough experience or enough of a portfolio to land yourself in a full time job, or even find enough earnings on the side from doing what you love - This is an opportunity to make good use of your time right now to better prepare yourself for the future; meet and connect with likeminded people, learn and develop skills, continuously develop your professional mindset, and receive mentoring and feedback on your work from other creatives.

What we want to hear from you

Please don’t spam us with your generic cover letters.

We are creating this as a people oriented program, there is no traditional role for you to be selling yourself on, we just want to hear about you as an individual, what makes you unique, what gets you up in the morning, where do you want to be in the future, what can you bring to the table - all of this will help us to best connect you with other like-minded people and provide you with opportunities that will benefit you the most. Instead we would like you to answer these questions and send them to us along with your most recent CV (the one you have been using to apply for your ideal job at the moment):

  • Tell us 3 bullet points about yourself

  • If you could have any job right now (please be realistic) - with your current skill set and passion, what would it be (bonus points for explaining a little bit about how your skills fit the role)

    • (we all want to be CEO/spy/rockstar/astronauts, but please be realistic - this question is just to get a feel of what you are good at now, and see how i can connect you with the right people in the future)

  • If you could create any piece of work right now, what would you want it to be

  • What is the biggest challenge you have faced during Covid/lockdown

  • Why do you want to work on projects with a team?

How to apply

Please start your cover letter with “small ocean, big fish” so we know you’ve read the whole thing - applications without this phrase, or which do not answer all questions, will be immediately dismissed unfortunately.
