Reverse Media Group is looking for a senior developer to head up an entirely new project working on a productivity based chrome extension that acts as a tab manager but has long term visions to completely change how people browse the web.
Reverse Media Group is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK (#9 Sunday Times 2019 Tech Track 100) and you'll be working directly with the CEO as well as other members of the team but largely independently. The project is likely to spin out into a new funded company, with the opportunity for its senior employees to attain equity.
The chrome extension is at an early stage yet still has had 10,000+ installs and we are looking for someone who thrives in a lean startup approach to building out technology inline with a collaborative product development timeline. As the first full time dedicated developer on the project, there will be significant responsibility in managing updates to the user base and building the code out for the future.
- At least one year commercial experience with React
- At least one year commercial experience with MongoDB
- Experience building and working with REST APIs
- AWS EC2 and BeanStalk experience
Nice have experience with:
- ExpresJS or similar
- Building Chrome extensions
You should be a fullstack developer well versed in the Node/JS/TypeScript eco-system with the independence to research and develop features using technologies identified with minimal supervision or technical direction.
Ideally you've worked on projects that executed in non-standard browser environments or directly on Chrome or other browser extensions. The role will involve you working between both the client and server side using React, TypeScript, MongoDB and NodeJS. A familiarity with various web development best practices and emerging technologies is a must, from things such as cookie restrictions to same-site policies, you must either already know or be able to quickly learn and grasp these issues to find effective and maintainable solutions to them.
This is a remote working role but the candidate must be able to come into the London offices a few times a month. Remuneration based on experience level.
