This role is sales support to the head of sales (CEO), during which time you will learn the business and develop relationships with its customers, before moving into a senior sales position yourself.
BuildPartner, enables architects and other project managers to receive quick, accurate and comparable quotes for construction projects under £1m.
The software provides a framework for pricing and database of saved rates which significantly increases efficiency from the alternative which is Microsoft Excel.
While the product is extremely useful, the important part is the way we build and sell it.
We work closely with our customers, all of whom have the option to invest their time and connections into the company as equity 'partners'.
We have a user group of 80 architects, interior designers, property developers and builders, almost 40 of whom are shareholders.
Therefore sales, in this instance, is developing and maintaining the existing strong customer relationships and building on them via recommendation and word of mouth.
There is no cold calling, no cold emailing, no paid advertising. We simply ensure that our current customers are happy enough to recommend their connections.
Then when they do, we set them up and do the same thing.
