About Us:

Moving into a new rental property is expensive. The security deposit can cost up to six week’s rent and often tenants have to find their next deposit before getting their last one back. This slows people down when moving and makes it harder for landlords to find tenants.

The Zero Deposit Guarantee massively reduces the upfront cost of moving, by giving tenants the option of paying 1 week’s rent instead of a security deposit, while providing landlords with the same security as a six week deposit.

This means that landlords benefit from a wider pool of tenants and can rent their properties faster. The guarantee is insurance backed, so landlords have the same security as a traditional deposit and is already being distributed by many of the leading agents in the UK.

The Role:

Whilst this job can be done remotely you will occasionally need to travel to London or Stevenage to get new starters set-up with equipment. The role will be wide-ranging and varied, the right candidate will be tech savvy, a natural problem solver and quick to learn new technologies. We believe in using the right tools for the job and evolving our toolset, so you will need to be able to evaluate different tools and then make a recommendation on the best approach. This is a new role for us so you’ll be able to really make it your own and shape how it impacts our company. 

You will work with every department in the company so clear communication skills and a positive attitude are vital. The responsibilities fall into 3 main areas:

  • Be the main point of contact for issues escalated from our Customer Support. You will need to triage these issues in terms of priority, work out which you can solve yourself and which need to be escalated to our Product team
  • Automate how we work! Eliminate work which can be done by computers so our people can focus on doing the things that they do best. This could be from automating marketing campaigns with tools like Campaign Monitor, Drip and Zapier. To automating finance processes using SQL and Google sheets.
  • Configuring equipment for new starters had help troubleshooting with any hardware or software issues our staff have. Due to lockdown all our staff are working remotely currently, so it's essential that their equipment is working correctly so they can do their jobs effectively.
