  • A bit about the role:

    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth through face to face sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hitting sales targets, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving results. This role requires adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate our team of canvassers. You must show a willingness to sell and lead by example whilst maintaining a position of responsibility. 

    We are looking for a hungry and ambitious candidate who can lead with a positive attitude, demonstrates a passion for our pasta, the service, and values of the company. Maintaining and developing good working relationships with event organisers, councils, offices, and any other sales related individuals or organisations is key.

    A bit about us:

    Founded by husband and wife team James and Rebecca, Nonna Tonda deliver fresh pasta and homemade sauces inspired by the amazing regional dishes of Italy. Made each morning, our pasta is the freshest around and delivered within 24 hours of being made. Each dish includes our pasta, a delicious homemade sauce and a garnish. 

    Our goal is to bring authentic Italian cooking to the UK, delivering dishes that are delicious, healthy and from door to dish within 5 minutes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Driving/Shift set up: You will be on the ground liaising with canvassers and setting up in different locations within Greater London. It’s important to keep to a tight schedule while also communicating with canvassers about your time of arrival, etc. 
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets. 
    • Training and Development: Participate in sales training sessions. You will work closely with the Sales Recruitment Lead to integrate new members of the team by ensuring that all sales reps have a comprehensive understanding of the company and how to pitch the service, by demonstrating passion for the product, and values of the company. 
    • Canvasser Performance: Monitor individual and team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and implement strategies to improve performance and productivity. Communicate new sales initiatives as well as go through any mis sales that crop up. You will be responsible for arranging regular 1 on 1 performance reviews with each canvasser.
    • Growth: Assisting the Head of Sales with establishing and developing new sales avenues as well as finding new locations for our regular bike shifts.
    • Feedback and Reporting: Monitor sales performance at all shift locations including event/bike/pop-up and office shifts, by gathering canvasser feedback, and logging it in a regular feedback form. This should also be communicated with management directly.
    • Availability: Getting canvasser availability in advance to ensure all shifts are well staffed. Communicating with the Sales Strategy and Logistics Manager in order to prepare the rota week by week.
    • Team building: Organising regular canvasser drinks and team building activities.
    • Organisational skills: Taking care of company equipment and making sure that everything is prepared ahead of shift. Ensuring that iPads are charged and ready for use and that fresh pasta, receipt cards and pens are always supplied. Keeping the van tidy and organised.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with anyone you meet.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Has a good understanding of how to use google sheets/excel.
    • Prior sales experience with a subscription based company is a plus.
    • Full Clean Driving License.
    • Ability to work 2 weekends a month with time off in lieu during the week.
