About you

AND Digital is looking to hire a Bid Writer, to join this vibrant and ambitious technology organisation. The Bid Writer will be joining a small team of passionate bid specialists within the Public Sector team. They will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, providing structure and oversight across all deliverables.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Strong Bid Writing experience and good communication skills
• Writing and coordinating the preparation of high-quality, compelling bids, proposals, and tender responses.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather information and insights for bid responses.
• Ensuring all bid documentation meets the requirements and standards outlined in the bids and tenders.
• Conducting thorough reviews and editing of bid content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and responsiveness to client requirements.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of bid content, templates, and best practices for the public-sector tech industry.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, public-sector procurement processes, and competitive landscapes to enhance bid strategies and proposals.

Core skills and competencies

The ideal individual for this demanding role will have the following critical skills and competencies:

• At least 3 years’ experience in Bid Writing for high-value public sector contracts
• Significant organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• An analytic approach to deconstructing customer requirements within the bid and challenging accepted ways of working within the team
• A confident communicator, with a proven ability to engage with key stakeholders and manage the end-to-end bid process with confidence
• A highly proactive approach to managing their own workload, prioritising tasks according to urgency and impact
• An effective communicator, able to forge positive stakeholder relationships across the business
• Familiarity with the public sector procurement process, in responding to stages and co-ordinating presentations
• A strong team player, with the ability to identify team improvements, process efficiencies, and smarter ways of working.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, and APMP Foundation/Practitioner certification. They will have accrued a strong track record in the successful management of complex public sector bids, ideally within the technology sector.
