Slapp is building on its app to continue to revolutionise the way we shop for beauty.


We are looking for a full-stack developer to take the lead on our new build.  


You will be responsible for end-to-end process: mobile design implementation, development, testing and deployment.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with a passion for creating visually appealing and functional user interfaces.


Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and implementing responsive user interfaces for both native/web applications.

- Developing scalable and efficient back-end systems using modern technologies and frameworks.

- Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and stability of the applications.

- Collaborating with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

- Continuously learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software development.

- Providing technical guidance and support to junior developers as needed.



- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not essential).

- Proven experience in full stack development, with proficiency in both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails) technologies. (Essential)

- Experience in building and deploying native applications for iOS and Android platforms.

- Strong understanding of e-commerce principles and practices, with experience integrating payment gateways, managing product catalogues, and optimising conversion funnels.

- Knowledge of colour matching algorithms and techniques, with experience implementing colour-related features in applications preferred.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Experience in the beauty industry or related fields is a plus.


This role is offered on a Part-Time Contract, Freelance or Permanent basis.


There is scope to come on board as a CTO with additional equity options after an agreed probationary period with the company. 

The Candidate must have an energetic disposition and an:

  • Understanding of e-commerce
  • Understanding of IOS and Android native and web applications.
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Honest, reliable & trustworthy character
  • Be based in the UK, and availability to travel to London for weekly meetings
  • A familiarity with face recognition software and colour matching is a benefit.
  • Experience of successful submission to the app store in the past, is essential
