    💼 The Role

    As a Sales Generalist at The Generalist Co., you'll be deployed to early-stage start-ups to support founders in streamlining their sales processes and grow their revenue. Your mission is to enable these companies to do more, and get there faster. You'll immerse yourself in all aspects of their sales operations, ensuring no opportunity for growth is overlooked. From strategizing on lead generation to automating outreach and engaging new and existing customers, you’ll take ownership of tasks, as well as contributing across all facets of the business.

    As a generalist, no task or responsibility is off-limits when it comes to bringing our client’s ideas to fruition. You'll do the big and the boring; everything from creating grand growth strategies to CRM admin.

    💻 What You Could Be Doing

    The dynamic nature of this role means your tasks will be as varied as the start-ups you'll support. Here are just a few things you’ll find yourself doing:

    • Inbound and Outbound Communication Management: Personalised handling of all sales-related communications.
    • Lead Generation and Nurturing: Proactive engagement and follow-up to ensure a healthy sales pipeline.
    • Proposal and Quote Creation: Customised, compelling proposals and quotes crafted for each client.
    • Deal Negotiation and Closure: Professionally negotiate and close deals on a client’s behalf, supported by AI-driven insights.
    • CRM and Data Management: Efficient data handling and CRM updates to keep clients’ sales data organised and actionable.
    • Administrative Support: AI-assisted scheduling, invoicing, and administrative tasks to streamline operations.
    • Lead Generation and Sales Strategy: Coming up with creative ways to reach out to and engage potential customers for us and our clients.
    • General Operational Support: Pitch in across all other areas of the business depending on what the client needs.

    • Experience in the start-up world
    • A knack for growth hacking
    • A proven track record of scaling projects
    • At least 2 years sales experience, but ideally 4 years or more
    • Founder experience - you’ve launched and grown your own business before
