  • At Amutri, we are building revolutionary products that transform Computer-aided design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) files into real-time rendered 3D experiences swiftly and with ease, enabling designs of new products to be visualised without the traditional barriers of time, complexity, and cost. Our products are crafted for those who are building the future through innovative infrastructure, engineering and product design, providing tools that are as effective as they are straightforward to use.

We are seeking a passionate software developer with strong Unreal Engine (4 & 5), C++ and Blueprint programming skills to join us in the development of an innovative online 3D Visualisation product. In this role, you will be responsible for developing  product features for use within non-gaming applications of Unreal Engine. This will primarily be centred around the automated processing, conversion, and enhancement of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Models (BIM) files for high-quality in-engine presentation.

The role will also involve coordinating with our product team to execute UIUX designs within Unreal Engine, developing innovative methods of interacting with 3D experiences, building new product features and taking care of ongoing enhancements to our CAD file processing library (including meshing, topology, UV-mapping and optimisation). It will also include regular engagement with our development team with consideration to our wider infrastructure. Attention to detail, commitment to collaborative problem solving, refined solutions, and product quality is paramount within this role.

As an Unreal Engine developer you will have the following expertise:

    • Strong Unreal Engine (4 & 5) skills and experience.
    • Strong C++ and Blueprinting experience.
    • A good understanding of 3D asset and environment optimisation within UE.
    • Experience with automated content creation pipelines, including model optimisation and manipulation processes.

It would be beneficial if you have experience working with:

    • An ability to think algorithmically, leveraging mathematics in the context of 3D space and CAD data processing.
    • A good understanding of visual fidelity within UE, including materials, textures and lighting.
    • GitHub, including the ability to manage issues with submodules, branching, as well as structuring GitHub for CI/CD.
    • Perforce version control for the management of Unreal Engine projects and large asset libraries.
    • JSON file creation and editing.
    • Project Management tools such as JIRA or equivalent.

Please note this is an employed role on a Fixed Term Contract for 4 months.  Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be living there.
