Head of Business Development

Satatland LTD, trading as Eslando is a circular fashion tech company on a mission to accelerate textile recycling. Our purpose is to connect fashion brands and textile waste collectors with textile recyclers to build the most trusted, measurable and impactful relationships through products.

As our Head of Business Development you'll play a pivotal role in driving Eslando’s growth in the textile recycling industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, fostering strategic partnerships, and expanding our network within the end-of-life supply chain of fashion.

Additionally, the Head of Business Development will contribute to our communications and marketing efforts, leveraging their industry knowledge and relationships to spread the word.

We generally expect a 9:00am - 5:00pm workday, but we’re flexible for the right candidate.

Your 2 Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and close sales contracts with both waste collectors and recyclers. We already have cool projects & leads lined up for you.
• Develop effective sales collateral and marketing campaigns.

Experience:

• Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Preferably within the waste management industry, international B2B sales or a related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and inspire trust with clients.
• A very strong work ethic.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools. You will have to set these ups

Bonus Points

• Strong understanding of the waste collection and recycling landscape.
• Experience of working with a start-up or early-stage company.
• Knowledge of the circular economy and sustainability initiatives.
• Experience in building and managing a sales team (for future growth).

Things to Note:

• Attending industry events post-working hours will be required for this role.
• Travel may be required to attend industry events and meet with potential clients.

What We Offer:

• Flexible Working: While we prefer full-time commitment, we're open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate
• Basic Salary, Commissions and Equity Compensation: We have secured grant and equity funding. Therefore, On top of equity, a basic salary to cover living expenses is on offer.
• Location: Both founders are based in London. Ideally, we’d prefer someone based in London to meet up in person at least twice a week. However, we’re open to working with the right candidate who could be remote.

• Karishma (CEO): A decade of experience in apparel and textile manufacturing, coupled with a deep understanding of recycling through her family business. Her knowledge of the fashion industry intricacies and supply chain management positions her as a cool person to work with.
• Andrew (CTO): A seasoned software engineer with expertise in AI and machine learning. Andrew has a track record of successful exits in the tech industry and his ability to develop robust and scalable solutions is crucial for driving the technological innovation behind Eslando.
