About the role:

Zappi seeks a dynamic and highly skilled senior accountant to bolster its accounting team, providing crucial support to global business operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional motivation, a strong appetite for continuous learning, and intellectual curiosity, eager to contribute to a high-performing Finance team. Operating within a fast-paced and hands-on culture, this position offers a direct path to people management and reports directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness - including variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate closely to review and submit multi-currency financial results, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations
  • Continuously evaluate and improve finance process to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Cash and treasury management; including cash forecasting, daily working capital management, and bank reporting
  • Partner with the business, meeting with department heads and senior stakeholders to review actuals, budgets and forecasts
  • Oversee VAT returns, statutory submissions, and US sales tax compliance for precise financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of year end financials, including group and local audits
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the organization’s growth and development
  • Iterate and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Cultivate a hustler mindset within the team, encouraging a proactive, results driven approach

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience, with a track record of increasing responsibility
  • Proclivity for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly scaling environment
  • Confident and accountable individual, capable of navigating deliverables with minimal supervision in an ever evolving environment
  • Commercially aware, with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the finance function
  • High attention to detail and comfortable working with different types of financial data
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of treasury and working capital management
  • Experience of working in a growing, international, multi-currency group
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred

  • Salary £60-65K per annum. Salaries are benchmarked annually
  • Unlimited holidays – we want well rested and motivated teams so encourage people to take plenty of time off. We don’t cap your allowance, but do set a minimum of at least 20 days per year plus national holidays.
