We are seeking a full-stack Senior Web Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications and supporting and managing junior staff members. The candidate will be a valued member of a strong technical specialist team and will lead by example in their value and ethical alignment, alongside their passion to always continue learning and drive improvements and innovation.

This individual will have a strong grasp of web development frameworks and a proven track record in the field of web development. This role will require strong leadership and value alignment to drive the business and to deliver industry leading, gold standard projects and workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated web applications, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, and implement high-performance web applications.
• Optimise web applications for scalability and performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex issues related to web application development.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in web development.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior developers, and lead by example alongside technical co-founders.
• Lead on innovation and development in collaboration with co-founders.
• Support report creation and other technical documentation.
• Support and empower other members of the team and lead by example on learning and collaboration within a supportive and safe-space environment.
• Advocate for others and champion diversity and inclusion and advocate for colleagues and their individual needs

Requirements

• Masters’ degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in web development or a related field
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and strong understanding of

-Microservice infrastructures

-Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and TypeScript.

-Strong knowledge of web development frameworks: React, Angular, Vue, NODE.JS, NEST.JS.

-Proficiency in databases: MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.

-Expertise in source control: Git, GitHub.

-Experience with APIs: REST, GraphQL.

-Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.

-Experience in CI/CD: Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD

-Familiarity with the Linux and Ubuntu Command Line

-Experience in QA and Testing: Jest or Mocha, Postman.

-Ability to integrate machine learning models into web applications.
