As a VC-backed startup, we are on a rapid growth trajectory, committed to innovation and excellence in the eCom-enablement space. We're seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to help us scale &facts into the toolkit of every consumer brand.

The Journey

Today … we serve hundreds of users, seamlessly handling millions of real-time data points. We recently overhauled our infrastructure with a shift to a server-less with AWS Lambda, and introduced more data points and more real-time data analysis.

Tomorrow … we’re scaling to process billions of data points, managing vast data volumes across thousands of data sources and developing intricate AI and data science pipelines. This growth will empower us to deliver real-time market insights to tens of thousands of users simultaneously, maintaining our commitment to performance and reliability.

The Role

• Hands-On Technical Involvement: Display comfort and skill in both detailed day-to-day ‘nitty-gritty’ tasks and high-level strategic development, showcasing a balance of technical and strategic acumen.
• Data Management: Oversee the management of vast data sets, ensuring efficiency and integrity in data handling and analytics, with expertise in technologies like Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, and BigQuery.
• Lead AI and Machine Learning: Propel the development of sophisticated AI models, including Graph Neural Networks, vital for market insights. Play a central role in enhancing and growing the data science team.
• Scalability and Solution Development: Lead in creating scalable, robust technology solutions. Ensure systems are geared for large-scale data processing and high traffic, leveraging your expertise to foresee and address potential challenges.
• Problem-Solving Expertise: Tackle technical challenges with a combination of expertise and innovative thinking, consistently finding the most effective solutions.
• User-Focused Strategy Creation: Formulate strategies that enhance user experience, aiding in product launches and marketing optimization, to accelerate user growth and success.
• Team Leadership and Development: Cultivate a high-performing technology team, encouraging innovation and collaboration, and providing guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role in a tech-driven, high-growth environment.
• Proficiency in cloud computing services and modern architectures (microservices, serverless computing).
• Deep understanding of data management and analytics (SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes).
• Deep understanding of the development lifecycle of AI/ML technologies.
• Proven leadership skills, with a history of team building and talent development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
